Meet Heather Bass
The Curated Crab Owner
I am often asked what I “do.” Since I am a psychotherapist in private practice, I own a retail boutique, and I work as an interior design stylist, it is hard to decide which version of myself to relate. So, I have decided that what I really do is create space for people. I invite people into my therapeutic space to make room for their experience of being human. I own a shop that gives people a fun, interesting place to find something new. And I also go into people’s homes to decorate, style, and re-arrange to reflect a space personal to them.
I like space in all is forms. I like possibilities. I like to have fun. I like offering people the idea that our lives are meant to be lived thoughtfully, to remind us all to be inspired by nature, by style, by grace, and that looking good along the way is all part of the fun.
The Curated Crab provides space for me to express myself in more than one way. I hope it invites others to do the same…I have a wonderful, curated collection of beautiful, strong women who make the shop a delight for me. My darling mother Grace full of grace, the smart, funny lovely Laura, the kind, sensitive, lovely Eve, and the warm, genuine, lovely Kathy. They keep the shop pretty, the customers happy, and me on my toes!
I am also deeply, lovingly grateful for my dynamic, talented, and inspiring husband who makes my life whole, fun, and full of possibility.
Live thoughtfully. Be inspired. Look good along the way.
